Fremont vs Spanish Fork
By fhssoccer on March 10, 2017
Today, we began our season against Spanish Fork and it also kicked off our St George trip. We began early with a goal with a cross from Parker Huff and Ivan Franco putting it in the back of the net in the third minute of play. The wolves didn’t hold back from there. with goals from Porter Iverson, Kofi Herrick (2), Alec Ferrin, Austin Freeman, Parker Huff, and Brian Baray. Parker Huff had a hat trick in assists with three. We go up against Salem Hills tonight at 6:45.
Following that game, the JV team travelled to Hurricane High School to take on Union High’s Varsity squad and looked really good. They ended up winning 1-0 with a goal from Carson Snitker and an assist from Talon Smith.

Fremont Defeats Salem Hills 5-0 for their second straight shutout
Fremont entered Saturday evenings contest in St George with a big win against Spanish Fork earlier in the day. And it appeared to continue with a throw in from Austin Freeman and a header with Ivan Franco to begin the scoring in the 6th minute. Then two minutes later Alec Ferrin would not be denied as he cut back and forth and shot a laser past the keeper making it 2-0.
Alec would be involved in another score 7 minutes later when Porter Iverson playing on the left wing, went left, then right, then left and sped past the wing defender sending a great cross where Alec again buried it making it 3-0.
Then Porter Meyerhoffer would get into the mix with a cross that the keeper had a hard time handling making it 4-0, and that would remain for the first half.
Following a few opportunities in the second half, Rigo Galvan made an impact as he was able to score as he ripped a shot from a cross from Jaden Pond and that’s how the final score would remain with a 5-0 victory. They have one more game tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 8am against Uintah.

Fremont 5 Uintah 0
By fhssoccer on March 11, 2017
Today we finished up our St George tournament with a 5-0 victory over Uintah. And it all began in the 20th minute when Parker Huff made it 1-0 when Cort Dixon played a ball through for Parker to slot past the keeper. Then Parker, still not satisfied, received a great ball over the defense to finding Parker streaking towards the goal to make it 2-0.
In the 48th minute Ivan Franco flicked on a ball behind him and Alec reading the play ran onto the ball and slotted it past the keeper. Then in the 59th minute Korben Corgiat found some room on the right side and beat his man and chipped it across over the keepers head to find the far side net to make it 4-0. But a hat trick for Parker Huff would not be denied when Ivan found Parker to give him three goals on the day and making the game 5-0 for a final. Preston Taylor, made some great saves in this game to keep a clean sheet on the day.
They play Layton this upcoming Tuesday for their first home game at 3:30.
Go Wolves!
